Every Day?

I don't think I can post every day so I'll just post whenever I have the time. :)

When something becomes an obligation it becomes a chore.

I want this to be my fun thing.

Nostalgia

Upside-Down Bridge/ Sakasama Bridge
Vocals: Suneohair
Lyrics: Watanabe Kenji
Composition: Watanabe Kenji

Turning upside-down
Searching for you
As we can’t ever
Make our way there

During dusk on that day
There was your sudden laughter
Under the shooting stars in the gaps between the clouds
I feel like seeing you again and again

During dusk one day
I gazed at the night with you
Every time when I search for the pieces of love
I always get lonely for some reason

I’ve got to go already
Before this sky starts crying

Turning upside-down
Searching for you
As we can’t ever
Make our way there

Standing under the bridge
It’s in the flowing whirlpool
We’re forever
Searching for that answer

Falling apart
Searching for your voice
Someday we’ll
Yearn for each other

Running smoothly
Every single day when I drift
Someday we’ll
Follow and make our way to the place

Unreliable, unattainable
Getting worried, sleepless
I made a loud noise: ‘Don’t leave me’
Saying ‘I won’t leave you’, be by my side always

Don’t leave me
Don’t leave me
Don’t leave me

*sigh* Time moves so fast. Spend time with the people you care about because before you know it, you might not have the chance anymore.

HOT

It's really hot over here in the OC. =o=;;
I swear, I'm literally melting!
I can't understand why people love summer, I even made a pro/con chart and I stand by the idea that SUMMER SUCKS.

PROS:

-You can wear skimpy clothing
-The floor is not cold when you get up
-Bed coverings are not needed
-Longer days
-Get to swim at the beach? (not IMO)

CONS:

-SUNBURNS. ENUF SAID.
-IT'S HOT
-You sweat a lot
-Clothes stick to your body
-My face gets all oily
-IT'S F'ING HOT
-My comp heats up really quickly
-Walking anywhere outside generates sweat
-Everyone wears short shorts (even people who shouldn't)
-Longer days
-Summer break is too long with nothing to do
-I get tanned :(
-Higher risk of skin cancer
-You can put on more clothes to get warmer, but you can only take off what you have to cool down...

Overall I HATE summer...
well, hate is kinda strong. I just really dislike summer and what it does to my body.
If people like summer, good for them but it's just not my season =_=

Did you know?

In a typical year, 13 people are killed by falling vending machines at the beach.

Eat spicy food to cool down and put on sunscreen!
Let's survive summer :)

Similar but delicious asian foods

Something I noticed a long time ago was that many dishes of asian cultures shared strong similarities. Most likely because of the countries' close geographical positions and the mixing of cultures during their development.

Examples:

BAOBING/ PATBINGSU/ HALO-HALO/ KAKIGORI/ Ais kacang/ shaved ice

(patbingsu)

Since I am chinese, I'm most familiar with it being called baobing. A dessert made of shaved ice and condensed milk with varying toppings, this is one of my favorite desserts. I love the refreshing sweet taste of baobing during the summer. Toppings include; chopped fruit (mango, kiwi, strawberry, etc.), mochi (little sticky rice balls), grass jelly, red beans, red/green mung beans, and many more. This dish is similar to shaved ice in the US, but a LOT better tasting IMO. The sweetness is not too sweet and I think baobing would be pretty healthy.

MOCHI/ NIAN GAO/ TTEOK/ sticky rice cake

(mochi)

Cute and delicious, all 3 variations are made with glutinous rice. Mochi is shaped into spheres, tteok is made into all kinds of shapes, and nian gao is cut into rectangles. Very sticky, but mildly sweet. The traditional technique of pounding rice into these sticky treats is amazing, not to mention risky.

MAKIZUSHI/ KIMBAP/ stuff rolled into rice and seaweed

(kimbap)

To be honest I don't know why they even bothered to call these different names. The inside ingredients are different but the general presentation and method of making these rolls is virtually the same. Delicious nonetheless, I love both foods.

That's all I can think of for now, but food adventures never cease! :D
Asian cuisine is delicious for the eyes as well as the mouth.

Wha? first post

I never knew starting my own blog would be so easy. I feel a bit narcissistic ^^;;. Hopefully I can post everyday and provide some sort of entertainment. I don't care if anyone reads this, but this blog is just to chronicle my experiences through life with the motto, "Become a bit smarter today than you were yesterday."

I hope to be a better person.
